Celtic Whiskey Bar & Larder

This is the ultimate whiskey bar! An ultimate whiskey bar that also has a wonderful selection of gin for your tonic, lovely cocktails, a full menu and whiskey pairing classes. Like I said, it is ultimate! This stylishly modern bar is located on New Street in Killarney within city center. The drink menu can be intense, overwhelming, indimidating and exciting all at the same time. For me it was intense and exciting because I wanted to try so many things. If you have the same needs, they do offer whiskey flights. The bartenders are friendly and very knowledgable about whiskey so just tell them what tastes you prefer and they will get you set up. They also offer classes for pairing which I participated in. There was a 'Whiskey and Cheese' and a 'Whiskey and Chocolate' class. I chose the Whiskey and Cheese class although I should have stayed for both classes since I love chocolate too. The class was fun and delicious. The cheeses selected were perfect with the selection of whiskies. Our instructor, teacher, guy who ran the class was very knowledgeable on whiskies. He even suggested a whiskey to each person depending on their palate. I truly recommend taking a class here, it did make for a great evening in Killarney.
